A Fond Memory of Roy Miller

Roy Miller!

Close to the end of the 2008 season, Roy Miller traveled to Brooke Army Medical Center at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio. Roy Miller was accompanied with a few other players and they visited soldiers who had been injured in combat. For Roy Miller, it was especially personal because his father has served in the army for 19 years. Roy Miller has a long list of people among family and friends, who have been part of the military. In his own words, “That could have easily been my father or a friend of mine or my uncle. It could be any of them. It is hard to see, but it’s good to be out here, and I’m glad that I visited to show my support”. Lt. Col. Kelly J. Sandifer and Sgt. Maj. Roger L. Heinze of the 4th Infantry Division at Fort Hood, coordinated the trip. They appreciated the restore from Roy Miller a lot.
